Uglies Sweet Potato Pie
Pie Ingredients:
- 1 & 1/2 cups canned sweet potato (use fresh, cooked sweet potatoes, if preferred)
- 4 TBS salted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- refrigerated pie crust (homemade pie crust is great if you have the time!)
Topping:
- 1 5.5oz. bag of Uglies SWEETS! Sweet Potato Kettle Chips
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp salted butter (room temp)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Beat the sweet potatoes with a mixer until smooth
- Add brown sugar, butter, eggs, milk, sour cream and allspice
- Line a 9-inch pie plate with pie crust and add mixture
- Cover with foil and bake one hour until pie filling is set
- While pie is baking, prepare crunchy topping with Uglies Sweets!
o Combine 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 4tsp of butter in mixing bowl. Mix until consistency is lumpy.
o Crush SWEETS! Sweet Potato Kettle Chips in a bag and fold into topping mixture.
- After the pie has baked for 1 hour, remove foil and spread the crunchy topping over the pie filling
- Return pie to the oven and bake approximately 20 minutes more until the topping and crust are golden brown
- Let cool completely before serving and ENJOY!
